From a young age, I wanted to help people. I quickly thought the best way to help would be to become a doctor. When in high school I was faced with an opportunity to get into the healthcare field as a nurse and decided that was one step closer to becoming a doctor so why not ?

The thought of becoming a doctor quickly changed on my first day of nursing school clinicals. I realized that doctors don’t get to spend much time with their patients.

In my first days of clinical, I knew that nursing is my passion. Nurses could get acquainted with their patients on every level and treat them not only with what a doctor has prescribed but also treat them with Kind Words, Empathy, and Love.

Nurses could get to know their patient and their specific needs while creating a plan for wellness all independently. Upon graduating High School, I sat for my boards and became a nurse. Having 15+ years of experience as a nurse includes :

Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care Units, Telemetry, Stroke, Respiratory Care, Oncology, Hospice, Pediatrics, ObstetricsMed-Surge, General Medicine, and Rehabilitation.

Outside of the hospital, I've worked as an educator for a nursing school and a director of nursing at a home care agency.

Ultimately it is my goal to use my experience and knowledge to Empower, Expose, and Educate the African American community on alternative ways to live a life full of Health, Wellness, and Happiness.

My work is to promote and facilitate the Growth, Healing, and Well-Being of the whole person by using coaching principles and healing modalities that combine Body - Mind - Emotion - Spirit - Environment.
